Southampton forward Che Adams has now revealed which of his teammates is just ‘amazing’ in training.
Che Adams has been an integral player for Russell Martin in Southampton’s push for promotion this term.
The 27-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from St Mary’s in January, but he’s put that speculation firmly behind him and is fully focused on reaching the Premier League with his current club.
Although his future on the South Coast is hanging up in the air with his contract expiring in June, Adams has hit his best goalscoring form over the past few months.
In his last 11 Championship matches, the Englishman has netted six goals, including two in his last three outings.
The striker has built up a strong partnership with fellow forward Adam Armstrong, who is currently second in the league standings for goals scored (18) while also supplying an impressive 11 assists.
Adams and Armstrong have developed a lethal combination on the pitch, as illustrated by the latter’s goal against Birmingham.
Their blossoming connection has been a joy to watch throughout this season and this has been enabled by the work that gets put in off the pitch.

To Adams, watching his best mate smash in goals on the pitch isn’t a surprise as he waxes lyrical about his finishing in training and the understanding he’s built up with his teammate.
“This year it’s been good, because we’ve played together more frequently than times before,” Adams told Southampton’s official website. “I’ve always enjoyed playing with him because he’s so fast, so any ball in behind that I play for him, he’s always going to get on the end of.
“His finishing in training is amazing, so it’s no surprise to everyone at the club that he’s scoring this many goals. It’s always a pleasure to play with him.”
A lethal combination
The Saints’ devastating forward duo are just as good as anyone in the division and it’s refreshing to see that Adams has built up an almost telepathic understanding with Armstrong.
In matches where Southampton have struggled to break the opposition down, the pace of Armstrong and the intelligence of Adams has helped.
Dropping into the Championship has proven to be a blessing for the pair, especially for the Englishman, who struggles to score goals at Premier League level but in the second tier, he’s one of, if not, the best poacher around.
If Southampton are to gatecrash the automatic promotion places, the form of their two forwards will be pivotal to achieving that.
