Nigeria manager, Jose Peseiro, has discussed Joe Aribo and his lack of game time for Southampton so far this season.
Aribo has only played 33 minutes in the Championship under new Saints boss Russell Martin, but still managed an international call up.
The Nigerian signed for Southampton last summer, following a positive three year spell with Rangers.
In his time in Glasgow, he was part of the side which reached a Europa League final, even scoring the opening goal.

He signed a four year deal at St Mary’s following a £7 million move to the Premier League.
In his first season he made just 28 appearances in all competitions, scoring two in that time.
He was heavily linked to moves away this summer with interest coming from across Europe, mainly Italy and Serie A.
When it comes to first team minutes this season, he hasn’t had enough realistically.
What has Jose Peseiro said about Joe Aribo?
When asked about his midfielder’s club gametime he said: “What I can say is that he doesn’t play too much in the club, yes.”
The 27-year old has made 23 appearances for the Nigerian national team since 2019 .
Despite a lack of club time, Peseiro has faith: “I believe in him. There are some players, not all of the players, I think they have quality and capacity even without playing in the club.”

This being said, he didn’t start the game against Sao Tome and Principe.
Coming off the bench in the 64th minute as the Super Eagles won 6-0.
When discussing his game time, Peseiro said: “He didn’t get too much time but he played.
“If he is here, he is a good condition to play with us.”
It is clear that his international coach has faith in Aribo, in spite of Martin giving him a lack of time.
