Southampton goalkeeper Joe Lumley has made a ‘Toy Story’ remark about one of his Saints’ teammates.

Following the 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, Taylor Harwood-Bellis posted a picture of him from the game on his Instagram, with a caption saying: “Great 3 points to take into the break! See you soon Saints.”

What made this funny though, as pointed out by the X page ‘Southampton Page’, was what backup goalkeeper Joe Lumley commented below, saying: “Sid from Toy Story.”

This comment has got over 100 likes, with many people now drawing comparisons between Harwood-Bellis and the infamous villain of the first Toy Story film.

What this does show is the team cohesion and togetherness there is in the Southampton squad right now.

Both Harwood-Bellis and Lumley joined the club in the summer, with the former joining on a season-long loan from Manchester City with an option-to-buy, and the latter joining following his release from Middlesbrough, after spending last season on loan at Reading.

What the comment shows is that despite these two players only working together for a couple of months, and Lumley not making an appearance so far for the Saints, it still shows that the overall mood of the squad is in high spirits, even amongst the new signings who may not be getting any game time whatsoever.

Russell Martin has his side on an eight-game unbeaten run in the Championship going into the November international break, so you would be hard-pressed to find a reason why any of the players may be somewhat unhappy at this moment in time on the south coast.
