Freelance journalist Sam Tighe praised Southampton playmaker Stuart Armstrong for his performance against Preston North End, saying he was ‘exceptional’.
Southampton managed to score in the sixth minute of injury time on Wednesday night as an own goal from Preston striker Ched Evans meant they managed to nick a point at the death.
Kyle Walker-Peters gave Saints the lead in the first half, but two goals in quick succession from Milutin Osmajic and Brad Potts meant North End looked to be heading for the three points.
But a last minute goal ensured Saints got away with what was a poor performance, but some players were impressive.
Journalist full of praise for Armstrong

Tighe posted on his X account (formerly known as Twitter) after the game on Wednesday, saying:
“Stu Armstrong exceptional off the bench tonight. Loads of slick forward passes that got Saints running at goal in space. [Kamaldeen] Sulemana really bright in his cameo too. Martin probably didn’t want to rotate them out of the XI tonight, but you have to shuffle the pack in this schedule.”
Armstrong has been an integral part of the midfield under manager Russell Martin this season.
He has made an appearance in every Championship game so far, scoring twice.
He came off the bench just before the hour mark on Wednesday night, as he helped Saints come from behind to get a draw.
Martin has already confirmed that there have been no talks with Armstrong over a new deal, with his current contract set to expire in the summer.
Armstrong will be hoping to start when Saints host Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.
