Southampton make the relatively short journey to Watford on Saturday, as they look to secure their third consecutive win and extend their unbeaten run to 12 games.

It is looking increasingly unlikely that Che Adams will sign a new contract at Southampton and, with his current deal set to expire in the summer, the Saints will have to strongly consider any January transfer offer to avoid losing him for free.

After a difficult start to the season which saw him arguably at fault for some of the goals Southampton conceded, Gavin Bazunu has now kept back-to-back clean sheets and has only conceded two goals in his last five games.

Southampton are currently fourth in the table and on a run of 11 games unbeaten, but with less than a month until the January transfer window opens the club will be making plans to improve their squad for the second half of the season.
