The long-running saga regarding the future of Che Adams has finally come to an end as the former Southampton striker has signed for Torino.
Che Adams saw his Southampton contract expire at the end of June but there was uncertainty regarding his next steps with discussions on a new deal continuing following the end of the season.
With a number of clubs interested, including the likes of Wolves and Nottingham Forest, as well as a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, Adams has chosen Italy as his destination as he has signed for Serie A Torino.
Whilst there had been little by way of update on Adams’ future from Southampton, Russell Martin confirmed Adams was unlikely to return to St Mary’s last week and that has now been proven correct as the 28-year-old has found a new home.

Che Adams issues heartfelt Southampton goodbye
Adams signed for Southampton in 2019 following an impressive season in the Championship with Birmingham City.
Whilst never prolific, Saints fans could never fault the striker’s work rate or commitment to the cause and this should not be forgotten despite his exit.
Adams was praised for being the first Southampton player to address the fans following relegation in the 2022/23 season, where he promised to get the club back to the Premier League.
In scoring 15 goals and providing four assists in the promotion-winning campaign last season he helped do just that and should leave with the best wishes of the St Mary’s faithful despite turning down the chance to extend his stay.
Now, Adams has taken to Instagram to post an emotional message to Southampton fans alongside a video of him celebrating a number of his 48 goals for the club.
Adams wrote: ‘Thank you, Southampton Football club. I’m so grateful for the last 5 years. Southampton became home to me and my family, and we were surrounded by some amazing people & players. Thank you to everyone, from the backroom staff, to the kitchen staff, to the coaches, for all your support & guidance since I stepped into Staplewood in 2019.
I’m proud to be leaving with my head held high, getting this club back to where it belongs. We made you fans a promise, and it gives me such pride we delivered. Thank you for all the support, you’ve followed us home & away in incredible numbers, and it meant so much.
Wishing you all the best for the future!
Che’
Adams should leave Southampton with his head held high after promotion

Adams did exactly what he set out to do last season, playing a key role in a campaign that culminated in play-off final success.
With constant speculation regarding his future for the best part of two years, it would have been easy for Adams to force an exit following relegation.
However, he stayed true to his word and got the club back to the Premier League and is now set for a new chapter in Italy.
The striker was always honest about his contract situation and never committed to signing a new deal despite having an offer on the table for much of last season.
Now, both Southampton and Adams can move on and look ahead to what will be a massive season for both.
