Southampton striker Paul Onuachu is attracting interest from Trabzonspor.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, the Turkish side are looking at signing the Nigerian, saying that ‘contact has been made’.
Trabzonspor are said to have originally been looking at signing Fulham striker Carlos Vinicius in their quest for a goal scorer, but they have now turned their attention to Onuachu.
The club are now hoping that the move is ‘expected to be finalised this week’.
The Turkish transfer window is still open until the 15th of September, so Onuachu may still get his long-awaited move away.
Paul Onuachu hoping for last gasp move

Onuachu was heavily linked with a return to Genk this summer, with a potential deal between the Saints and the Belgian side including their winger Joshua Paintsil heading to St Mary’s however a move never materialised.
He was then close to a deadline day move to French Ligue 1 side FC Metz, before the deal fell through.
The 6 foot 7 inch striker joined Southampton in January from Genk for £18 million, after he scored 16 goals in the first 19 games in the Pro League before he made the move to the Premier League.
His second half of the 22/23 season was the complete opposite to the first half, failing to live up to the hype of his January move as he failed to score a single goal in eleven appearances for Saints as they finished bottom, being relegated to the Championship.
A move away for Onuachu would be the best outcome for both parties, with the striker seemingly not part of manager Russell Martin’s plans.
