Southampton are still looking to offload some of the players that do not have a future at the club as Russell Martin seeks to trim his squad.
Southampton had a busy transfer Deadline Day on Friday as they signed Aaron Ramsdale, Ryan Fraser and Maxwel Cornet.
However, the business may not be over for Russell Martin‘s side just yet, with the transfer window closing later in Turkey meaning an exit for the likes of Paul Onuachu and Armel Bella-Kotchap is still possible.
Southampton may well have offloaded another player who seemingly has no future at the club in Kamaldeen Sulemana, but it is currently unclear whether the Ghanaian’s move to Ajax has been completed.

Southampton awaiting confirmation Kamaldeen Sulemana has signed for Ajax
Whilst the transfer window remains open in Turkey until September 18th, the window closed in Saudi Arabia, Portugal and the Netherlands on Monday.
This saw Ajax spring into action as former Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn made a late move to Saudi.
Sulemana has flattered to deceive since Southampton paid a club record transfer fee of £22 million to sign him in January 2023 and is yet to feature this season due to injury but Ajax look to have given both player and club an out.
Ajax made a last minute move to take Sulemana on loan for the season, with an option to buy for £17 million next summer included in the deal.
However, the deal could be in jeopardy, as it is unclear at this stage whether the transfer was completed ahead of the deadline in the Netherlands.
That is according to TalkSPORT, who report: ‘Southampton have been left sweating on whether Ajax completed the paperwork to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana on time.
The Ajax hierarchy believe they got the loan deal over the line seconds before the Dutch window closed on Monday.
But they are awaiting approval from FIFA to ratify the Ghana international’s move to Amsterdam.
If it goes through, there is a £17 million buy option included’.
Sulemana Southampton exit best for all parties

Sulemana was signed on Deadline Day of January 2023, on a day in which Southampton owners Sport Direct will want to forget as they spent £40 million on the winger and Onuachu.
Striker Onuachu has not scored a single goal for the club, whilst Sulemana’s only two goals came in a 4-4 draw with Liverpool with the Saints already relegated in May 2023.
Sulemana is clearly a talent but has looked disinterested for the past year and his lack of end product despite his electric pace and ability have been incredibly frustrating for the St Mary’s faithful.
Former Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand describe Sulemana as “dangerous” during a run in the team in October last season, but in truth the 22-year-old has done little to justify his £22 million fee.
All parties will hope the loan move to Ajax has gone through in time and Southampton will hope Sulemana performs well enough so that the Dutch giants decide to pay £17 million to make the deal permanent.
