Southampton have made an offer for Swansea City defender Nathan Wood.
According to Mark McAdam, the offer is £10 million, with £7 million up front and the other £3 million being in add-ons.
It appears that manager Russell Martin wants to raid his former club, whom he joined Saints from earlier this summer.
Martin has already signed Ryan Manning after he was released by the Swans, and Southampton have also been linked with signing their star striker Joel Piroe.
Would Nathan Wood be a good signing?

Wood came through the academy at Middlesbrough, making his way all the way up to the first team. He also spent the second half of the 20/21 season on loan at Crewe Alexandra, and spent three months at the start of 21/22 on loan at Hibernian.
He then joined current club Swansea City last summer for a fee believed to be around £250,000, which looks to be a bargain now. He made 40 appearances for the club last season, and has also featured in all three of their opening Championship games this campaign.
The 21-year-old is also an England under-21 international, and can also play in defensive midfield.
It comes as no surprise that Martin has gone in for Wood, who performed very well in his system at Swansea, and with Southampton also needing a centre-back after the departure of Mohammed Salisu and potential departure of Armel Bella-Kotchap, who has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund.
Wood has also attracted interest from clubs higher up the footballing pyramid, with Arsenal and Tottenham being linked earlier this year and Brentford being linked earlier in the summer.
Southampton are expected to be busy for the rest of the transfer window, using the money they have generated from selling the likes of James Ward-Prowse, Romeo Lavia and Tino Livramento.
