According to reports in Norway, Southampton are set to make Johan Hove a Saint with a move close.
Southampton have been slow acting in this market, with multiple big money departures heading out the door at St.Marys.
Romeo Lavia joined Chelsea and James Ward-Prowse moved to West Ham United, two key components of Russell Martin’s midfield.
Along with this Tiny Livramento has joined Newcastle while Mohammed Salisu departed for Monaco in Ligue 1.
In lieu of all these outgoings, only one signing had arrived for a fee which has raised concern.
Shea Charles arrived from Manchester City, however apart from that we have only seen free transfer arrivals in Ryan Manning and Joe Lumley. Along with Flynn Downes of West Ham who has arrived on loan for the season.
Now however there finally seems to be some movement on the incoming front for Southampton.

Hove close to Southampton move
Johan Hove is an exciting 22-year-old midfielder who is capped for Norway’s under-21’s.
According to Norwegian reports from VG, Hove is closing in on a move to the English south coast.
Hove only joined his current club Groningen back in January 2023, however has confirmed he has a release clause in place due to Groningen’s relegation.
He wants a better challenge and he could be about to get that with a move to Southampton.
It is a move that will come as a welcome one to Saints fans given they’ve had to watch Leicester sign multiple players this summer in their rebuild.
He probably slots straight into the starting line-up with Shea Charles next to him.
