After being relegated from the Premeir League last season, Southampton had a mass exodus at the club, with several players leaving on permanent deals.

Duje Caleta-Car joined the Saints last summer from Marseille, but only made 13 appearances last season.
He has now joined Lyon on loan for the season, who have started the season way below expectations, currently finding themselves second bottom in Ligue 1.
The Croatian centre back has made 4 starts, with an average rating of 6.23.
Armel Bella-Kotchap
Armel Bella-Kotchap was one of few players from last season who came out of it positively, even being called up Germany’s squad for the Qatar World Cup last year.
He spent the majority of the summer window linked with a move back to his homeland with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, but ended up moving to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
Surprisingly to most, it appears he has not lived up to expectations in Holland. His former coach criticised his form, and has made three appearances in the Eredivisie with an average rating of 6.47. He has also made a start and one sub appearance in the Champions League, with an average rating of 5.95.
Romain Perraud
Romain Perraud has spent the last two season at Southampton making 29 appearances last season in the Premier League.
He has now joined Caleta-Car in making a temporary move to France, joining Nice.
The left back has only made three substitute appearances, playing a combined 30 minutes off the bench so far. He has an average rating of 6.07.
