Adam Lallana could go down as a certified modern-day Southampton legend due to the impact he made during the 2010s with the Saints.

After transferring to Southampton from fierce rivals Bournemouth in 2000, Adam Lallana rose throuh the ranks at the St Mary’s Stadium, and after a few loan spells away from the club, became a Premier League regular and the club captain.

After excelling at Southampton under Nigel Adkins and then Mauricio Pochettino and Claude Puel, Lallana would eventually move to Liverpool and win a Premier League title.

Where was Adam Lallana born?

Adam David Lallana was born in St Albans, which is a cathedral city located near Hertfordshire, which is 28 miles east of Hemel Hempstead.

Lallana was born on the 10th of May 1988, which makes him 36 years of age at the time of writing this.

After moving to Southampton from Bournemouth, Lallana would go on to make 235 appearances for the Saints, scoring on 48 different occasions.

Liverpool signed Lallana in the summer of 2014 and the Englishman remained at Anfield until 2020, where he won the league title and the UEFA Champions League trophy in 2019.

He moved to Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2020 but made an emotional return to Southampton during the summer transfer window of 2024.

How much did Southampton sign Adam Lallana for?

After four seasons at Brighton, his contract with the Seagulls came to an end so he was a free agent which allowed Southampton to sign the English midfielder on a one-year deal for little to no cost.
