Armel Bella-Kotchap signed for PSV on loan this summer and it is thought he will be a key player for the Dutch giants.
The German started his senior career with Bochum where he made 66 appearances in four years, starting at age 17.
After top performances at his young age, Southampton signed the centre back on a four year deal last summer.
24 appearances saw plenty of admiration towards Bella-Kotchap who looked set for a big move following relegation.
Despite having a good season, he was certainly injury riddled suffering several shoulder injuries.
His second shoulder injury came late in the season, restricting many clubs from signing him.
On deadline day, Bella-Kotchap joined PSV on loan for the season. This despite interest from European icons like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
What has been said about Armel Bella-Kotchap?
Journalist, Rik Elfrink believes that the centre back is a top signing and is already showing his worth in training.
When discussing his late signing, the reporter said: “He is the icing on the cake.”
Obviously feeling that Eindhoven’s squad is strong and the transfer window was positive.
On Bella-Kotchap’s training performances, he said: “He looked excellent. A physically strong defender and I think he can also defend with a lot of space in the back.
“It won’t surprise me if he also starts playing quickly.”
Despite this, at the time of writing he may not be garunteed a first team place: “I do think that Peter Bosz will want to quickly switch to his strongest eleven.
“In a home match against NEC I think you can try out Bella-Kotchap.”
It is clear that the German is highly rated and hopefully succeeds in the Netherlands.
Saints fans can be hopeful he comes back to the St Marys in the Premier League.
