One Southampton star who has been consistently linked with a move away this summer could be close to getting his move.
Following relegation to the Championship, several Saints stars have seen interest from higher leagues arrive.
Most who have been offered the chance to depart the team, have chosen to do so due to the higher offers made.
Tino Livramento has been the departure who has commanded the highest fee to date, commanding a £32million.
Mohammed Salisu also left for around £17m to Monaco with Mislav Orsic, Ibrahima Diallo and Mohamed Elyounoussi all leaving as well.
Along with this all summer long, Liverpool have been sniffing around Romeo Lavia, and are getting closer to reaching Southampton’s £50m valuation.
On top of Lavia, James Ward-Prowse is another midfield star who is being linked with a move away from St. Mary’s.
Now, it seems a move for the Saints captain could be moving closer than ever before.

West Ham close on Ward-Prowse deal
With the Championship season already underway, any further departures wouldn’t be ideal, given it leaves the club short and needing to urgently replace them.
One possible departure which seems to be nearing completion according to reports is Ward-Prowse to West Ham.
The Athletic have reported that the Hammers are working to conclude a deal to sign Ward-Prowse ‘as soon as possible’.
Southampton remain keen to retain their star midfielder, with his name wanted for the team-sheet against Norwich on Saturday.
However it seems increasingly likely that this game would be his last should he play.
With a deal close, this would bring to an end Ward-Prowse’s 422 appearance stay with the Saints where he began his career.
West Ham are also looking to add Manchester United’s Scott McTominay to their midfield having lost Declan Rice earlier this summer.
