Southampton striker Che Adams remains a target for Premier League side Wolves in the January transfer window.

According to John Percy of the Telegraph, Adams could still yet be a target for Wolves after he was ‘under consideration’ by the club in the final days of the summer transfer window.

Adams has recently been touted for a move in January after a poor run of form for Saints in the Championship.

He had also been linked with a move to Everton in the summer, too. It had been expected he would move on in the summer, but a move failed to materialise.

He joined Southampton in 2019 for a fee believed to be £15 million.

Should Saints let Adams go?

Saints losing Adams would be a blow for manager Russell Martin.

Despite not reaching the goal scoring heights many would have expected him to by now, by no means has he been playing badly.

The 27-year-old has played a part in eleven of Saints’ 14 Championship games, scoring three times and assisting twice.

Despite playing in eleven games though, he has only started six of those.

It has been Adam Armstrong that has been banging in the goals up front, scoring seven so far this season.

So if Premier League clubs do come knocking in the January window, it would be hard to see why Adams would turn that down.

It would also help his chances of getting back into the starting lineup for Scotland, after being dropped in recent games in favour of QPR striker Lyndon Dykes, who started ahead of him against Spain in the most recent international break.
